What was he thinking?

Apparently the Australian Wheat Board (AWB) hired a US "...corporate crisis expert to draft an "over-apology" after a damning UN report last year found the wheat exporter paid almost $300 million in kickbacks to Saddam Hussein's Iraqi regime."

The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that the Cole inquiry has been told the AWB had prepared last December a draft document with the help of a corporate crisis expert, Peter Sandman. Apparently he was consulted by AWB within weeks of the damning UN report being released last October.

On March 21 Mr Peter Sandman wrote in an article on his website

"Usually it comes while I’m telling my audience that they reap what they sow..."

What was he refering to?

It should also be noted that Mr Sandman has also consulted to BHP Billiton. Of course the big Australian resource company has its own issues at the Cole Royal Commission. However his representative list of clients makes no mention of the AWB.

And by the way whats wrong with the the leading Australian crisis managers who the AWB tells us are not "spin doctors" who are reportedly working for the Company - Gavin Andersen who is represented by Ian Smith.
